Hip-Hop is a dance mostly performed by young teenagers these days. It is very difficult in the way it is performed and the moves that are done. There are many different styles of hip-hip including street dance, breakdance, and funk. It was originated in the early 1990’s when many teens started to dance on the streets in and around New York City. Many competitions are held all over the world today and many styles are allowed to enter, but some competitions require a certain dance style. Most people who perform this dance can get a really good workout, as it is considered good exercise for the people who perform it.
It was developed from many different cultures such as American and Latino cultures. This type of dance style is considered to be an informal one due to all the jumps, rotations, and breakages. It is considered to improve flexibility, develop muscles, and body balance. Anybody who is interested in dancing can learn this type of dance.
Although it is very difficult to learn because of its various body movements, many people, no matter how young or old, can learn this dance. There are four elements that have influenced the hip-hop culture and these are: Disc Jockeys, MCs, Graffiti, and B-Boys and B-Girls. So if your into this kind of dance it’s recommended that you take up some lessons with a professional hip-hop trainer. If you're thinking of trying it yourself you should at least have a friend or family member to help if needed.
