Musical Theaters

For centuries the musical theater has always been around.  Take for example that beautiful choreography of the musical staring Yul Brynner in "The King and I."  Not only were the costumes beautiful, the dancing was precise, and the children and singing were excellent.  Whoever thought about putting dancing, singing, and story telling together was a genius.  Every musical tells a story.  Another example of ingenuity was the musical "The Wizard of Oz."  That was a story of never giving up hope, and to trust in yourself. For a good roaring time at the theater go see a musical production.  Did you know that historians consider the "Black Crook" {1866} to be the first musical?  It was about Amazon's crushing the forces of evil; it was a huge production.

All musical theater production doesn’t have to be enormous.  Take for example the musical "Singing in the Rain," a brilliant musical production.  The main character Gene Kelly falls in love, and dances in the rain.  Some musical productions get turned into a TV special but without the musical part.  Musical theater is a great way for an actor to get recognized.  A lot of stars started out in a musical theater.  Today the stars are returning to their roots; the theater.  Stars are looking for different ways to express themselves in ways that they usually can't on silver screen or TV.  You can even get a musical theater degree nowadays.  There is just something about the theater that attracts people.
